New Zealand looks manageable on maps. Yet it is one of the most diverse countries in the world. So many different climatic regions and features to see in one country and sometimes in one day! When there is so much to see - and do - where do you start? This informed guide has the answers.

Expert Tony Mudd(author of the original Rough Guide)picks out the best-there-is on the South Island. Hell show you where to stay and eat when you are visiting the phenomenal sights and taking part in the extraordinary activities.

This easy to use and concise app will help you plan your trip and update your itinerary when you are on the road, beach, mountainside, ski slope, river...

•• About the Authors ••

Tony Mudd is - and has been since day one - the co-author of the Rough Guide to New Zealand. He has covered every blade of grass in the country, dipped his toes in every river and been up to his neck in the sea surrounding the country. He has jumped off, out of and in to almost everything, swum, surfed, boarded, sailed, flown, glided, fell (free and otherwise), rode and laughed his way around. If it is worth doing hes probably done it, if he hasnt he will do soon and then write about it so you can decide whether you want to do it as well.

Alison Mudd is usually following Tony, taking photos while trying to swim, raft, sail, glide, and fly. Shes got an agreement that she never has to bungy, but believes everyone should "do a superman" (flying fox)once in their lives (maybe without the camera though)...
